Portrait photography has become my favorite type of photography and it is predominately informal portraits that feed my passion. To me a portrait is the headline or window to the person's real personality, through the eyes and facial expressions.
It gives me great pleasure to bring that personality out through photography.
While I consider portraits to be my forte there is an aspect of photography that has captured my attention and that is the notion that the actual process of taking a photo is therapeutic. I currently devote much of my time to researching this concept and trialling it through photographic courses I am developing for use with people who have a disability and/or mental illness.
